Well this was a little
bigger adventure than I had bargained for however, after much effort I finally was
able to succeed and post my podcast debut. I decided to use Garageband because this program was already downloaded on my computer. Yet, the one thing I did forget is that I had to use a system such as Soundcloud to get a embedding code in order to insert it into my Blog. My advice is to not forget this part. J
Using a podcast or
screencast certainly contributes to my digital literacy, responsibility, and
citizenship. It contributes to my digital literacy
because I have learned about a new digital tool that I could in fact use for my
education needs, personal life, or even just to help others fulfill their life
long dreams! I have also learned that
with the opportunity of this type of digital tool comes responsibility. It is my obligation to make sure I use this
system in a appropriate manner to broadcast knowledge I have learned or want to share with other digital citizens. In addition, I must remember that having the privilege of digital citizenship required me to remain respectful when voicing my opinion on
this audio or video digital tool.
Podcasts can be a wonderful addition to the digital world, however only
when we use them in the correct ethical fashion.
People can be hurt or offended by what
one may say or post on the Internet. Don’t
forget to turn on your filter, or even ask a friend who operates by the same standards you do to preview it. This way you will have a second opinion
